Pizza crust recipe ( 1/2 lean, 2 greens, 1 2/3 condiments )
1 cup (squeezed hearts of palm rice) – 2 greens
Note: I found that 1 bag when you squeeze the water out is a perfect 1 cup.
2 Tablespoons egg beaters = 2/3 of 1 condiment
1/ 2 cup shredded low moisture mozzarella – 1/2 lean
1 Tablespoon grated shaker parmesan- 1/2 condiment
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder- 1/2 condiment
Make sure you squeezed your hearts of palm rice. Preheat oven to 400. Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Put parchment paper on your cookie sheet (or pizza perforated pan) spray with non stick. Put you mix on the cookie sheet and form a circle. Approximately 8-9” round. Bake for approximately 25- 40 minutes. You want it to look cooked but not burnt.
Toppings ( 1/2 lean, 1 green, 1 condiment)
1/2 cup low moisture mozzarella- 1/2 lean
1/4 cup approved tomato or pizza sauce – (I used the Rao’s pizza sauce ) -1 green
1 Tablespoon shaker parmesan cheese- 1 condiment
Bake till the cheese is melted and the crust is a little more cooked. Maybe 20 minutes
I’ve never found a non typical pizza crust to be able to pick up and eat regularly. Maybe cook it more; but I don’t want burnt pizza. Otherwise use a fork.
Top with a few greens scallions and some chopped fresh basil.
