Thanksgiving Swaps

For what are you thankful this year?       Family? Friends? Home? Health?

Or perhaps you are grateful at the opportunity for a new beginning, the blessing of being able to make different choices in the future than you have in the past.

For many people in the United States, Thanksgiving means sitting down to a meal that leaves them physically full, but also feeling bloated, uncomfortable, and ready for a nap.  You can make a choice to be present for the social situations that the holiday brings, but without compromising your health or the health of those you love.

Here’s just a few ideas for substitutions you can make to enjoy a Lean and Green Thanksgiving, with a holiday hack or two thrown in.  If you split the portions, add a little lean protein, and you can even enjoy multiple dishes at your Thanksgiving table, with FoodiQueen leftovers too.
